The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
